I was always partial to Eartha Kitt as Catwoman myself.

After reading JD's blog I feel the need to defend his lack of blogging. HE NEEDS TO DO HIS PAPER!!! He spent his entire spring break goofing off. I understand full well that is what spring break should be for but I'm beginning to think otherwise. Why? Because when I get back from spring break I have a physics test that Thursday. I was already given my C programming class mid-term which is due in two weeks ( I think she posted it the day before spring break as a hint to work on it then). I have a physics lab report due the Wednesday when we get back and I'm going to have to do a pre-lab test because the Wednesday we get back is an experiment day. Why did I bring up psychics lab? Because normally you have an experiment every other week. On the off week you hand in the lab report. Spring break week is the off week. I have calculus homework due that Monday and I will have a test a week after we get back. All in all this spells no goofing off during spring break.

JD should be replaced with JDK (Java Development Kit)...at least he's not something that could be related with hookers.

I love knitting, but there are three things about it that I absolutely hate.
1- The cast on--I can't seem to do it quickly! It always seems like it takes me four hours to cast on twenty stitches. HATE HATE HATE
2- The bind off--I mainly dislike this part because I just want it to be over with already. I've reached the "I just want to wear it already stage"
3- The weave in--TEDIOUS!!! That is the word to best describe the tucking in of the loose ends. Sewing seams doesn't seem to take as long as weaving in the loose ends, and that requires a lot more effort.
In any event I've finished the sash part of the sweater. Now I'm working on the back. I also took a break from knitting and finally started crocheting the hats for Grandma and Norli. I finished one last night. Thankfully it only took me two nights to work up the hat. My fam is going to get a nice little box of belated gifts. Since I've only got one project that I'm working on (Kyoto) and a request has been put in my 2nd project is going to be an ipod holder for JDono. This will be fun because I'm going to have to design it on my own!!! It's time to take out the handy dandy notebook and get to work on creating a pattern.

If you want to eat healthier don't eat at McDonald's to begin with. I never quite understood the whole "McDonald's made me fat" law suit. Last time I checked, as a human being you make a conscious decision to choose where and what you are going to eat.

More strange frogs.

The three-headed frog has me so stunned I am without words.

I was sitting at the PC desk in the computer room reading my Physics text when I happened to turn my head and look in JD's direction. I noticed that he was typing up a blog. I waited in anticipation of his post, waiting for the moment that I could click on the link to his blog in my bookmarks list. I'd look up after each page I had read to check his Powerbook G4 screen to see if he had hit that all important post and publish button. Then I began to wonder... Are we not talking to each other enough through out the day? Is there a level of communication that is lacking in our relationship? Am I not showing enough interest in the things he finds important?
I began to feel bad and think that I was being a terrible girlfriend, a terrible friend period. Or is it that by us having these weblogs it allows us to share more of our interest with each other? That we are providing a way to add visual aides to the things that we find important? That it some how makes our beliefs, views and opinions more tangible when we can provide links to back them up?
Obviously I'd like this to be the reality of the situation.
Then again I do take the time to read his blog and follow his link and that should be a good enough answer for me.

Well I've done it. I bought the yarn to make the Kyoto sweater. What did I go with? Well after spending the day doing yarn research instead of reading my physics book. I called up Circles, which happens to be a 5 min walk from my house, and found out what types of cotton yarn they have. I settled on Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece colors Barn Red (MC), Wild Orange (CC1), and Cavern (CC2). At $7.40/215 yards I was able to provide myself with instant gratification instead of having to wait in anticipation for a shipment of yarn. Despite the discount that I would have gotten at WEBS I only ended up spending a dollar more than I would have had I ordered from WEBS. Thank you Allison Nevitt for opening up Circles. It's like the best/worst thing that could have ever happened to me.

Finally anyone that has ten zillion credit cards can slim down their wallets.

I don't want to wait until I'm in a nursing home. I want a human washer now!!!

I've been lusting to make this beautiful cotton sweater entitled Kyoto and now I will be able to buy the yarn to do so. However being in financially straits I've been looking at my yarn options, hunting around for the best site to order from, etc. Well I know that I'll be ordering from WEBS because they have such a large selection and gives a discount for orders over $60. WEBS is also located about 2 hours away from my house and I may just try to convince JD ( I love you) to drive me there. *wink, wink...nudge, nudge* WEBS sells the type of yarn, Tahki Cotton Classic, that the designer of the sweater uses and this yarn happens to come in a wonderful array of colors. However since I do need to be a bit on the frugal side I've been looking at Reynolds Saucy. Now we are talking a difference of $4.99/108 yards vs. $4.75/185 yards, while this may only save me about $10 when you are so broke that your mom pays your rent that's a lot. The problem is that they don't have as great of an array of colors. What to do? Should I go with the cheaper yarn and settle for colors that aren't really what I want? Bite my lip and buy the yarn that has the colors I desire? Or just say to myself "What the hell are you buying yarn for? Your broke!"

I never realized that lifting the hood of a car was considered masculine, or rather designing the car with a male driver in mind. Is this some twisted extension of the toilet seat thing?

Currently the house is shaking violently. I suspect that the construction going on a block away has something to do with it.
On a not so brighter side. While I did not do the greatest on my physics test I still did better than the class average. Thankfully our physics Prof. is going to have pity on us and let us drop the lowest grade of the three test that we have to take. I just have to make sure that I do really well on the next two and the final. The funny thing though is that I got the most points taken off for the questions that were not math oriented. Apparently I can't function well without formulas.

Finally, it has arrived. DDR 4th MIX!!! MY FAV!!! I really want to go play but I have to finish my lab report that is due tomorrow. Maybe I could just do a song or two, after all I don't have to go to class until 11:30 tomorrow and I'm usually awake by 8 am anyway. Sound reasoning to me. Bye

Now that JD has a blog up I'm reading alot more articles about the world. I lived in a media bubble that involved Discover, that's it. I don't watch TV, hell we don't even get reception. I don't usually grab a newspaper because I entertain myself during my commutes with reading a book, playing Gameboy, or knitting. That leaves my only world news source to be my good friend Solis and James. I liked my bubble, too bad it's been burst.

Poor JD is having problems with his new blog. He thinks that it might be because he's working on a Mac that the interface is bieng wacky.

Today my boyfriend *gaa gaa eyes* JDFight! started his own blog, mouth fart thing. Way to go babe! Now I feel sort of obligated to post more often.
What's going on with me? I'm avoiding my physics, clalculus, and C programming books. I shouldn't but I am. I've also finished knitting my wrist warmer (only one the second is on it's way). I've also at long last felted my bag. It looks pretty good in my opinion. I'll post a picture at a later date or time, depending on my level of motivation today.

Well it's been a while since I've bothered to log on to this, not that anyone reads this anyway, so here goes.
I've finally got everything worked out for school. My student loan should be processed sometime this week and hopefully my schedule will be updated to reflect that I actually got into a physics lab. At least I hope I did. I guess I should e-mail the instructor about that.
I'm tired as usual. That seems to be my thing now adays. I'm always tired. I hate that burning feeling in my eyes. I can't go to sleep though because I have lots of reading to do for Physics and C programming.
I'm not to sure about this C programming class, mainly because it's an on-line only class. I don't know if it will be as good as actually dragging my butt off to lectures in the morning. We'll see. It really kind of sucks because I have to take that class. There is just no way around it. Lets hope all goes well.
My biggest knitting accomplishment lately is my bag. I've finally finished knitting it. I only have to felt it know. I can't wait to do that. I have some...alot of friends who want to see what the whole felting process is like so I'm having a sort of felting bash. I'll post some pics of my now and then bag soon.
