I feel gypped! I bought Heroic Trio from Newbury Comics and neglected to look to see if it was dubbed only or if it also had Cantonese with subtitles. Well unfortunately it is dubbed only and they changed the names of the main characters. Why the hell would they change the names of the characters?! I spent $26 on this movie and I get no subtitles!!! DAMN IT ALL TO HELL!!! I better check the box for The Executioners to make sure that I get subtitles. Which it does and it was only $8. Granted I don't expect the transfer on The Executioners to be the greatest but I won't have to deal with bad voice overs. REALLY BAD VOICE OVERS. There is also something about Theif Catcher saying "Whey! WHEY!!" that's really charming. UGH I can't deal with the name changes and some of the script changes. Stupid me for buying the version of Heroic Trio published by Miramax. If the transfer quality on The Executioners is just as good I'm going to be super duper pissed.
I got text message spam this morning! Is nothing safe?

pink aluminum
You are pink aluminum.
Retro, straightforward and fun, you love classic
things. If they're 99 cents at Goodwill all the
better! You are moved by striking colors and
tasty morsels, and you like a stitch-n-bitch
session in the sun. Just remember, while
you're being kitschy cool, don't get too cold.
Ice cubes are best kept in your cocktails,
baby!

What kind of knitting needles are you?

I posted while I was at work and the damn thing crapped out on me. :( I really should stop this procrastination and start studying. Oh and if anyone's interested "The Incredibles" looks incredible. The spell checker just did wacky shit too.
I'm at working listening to a classic rock station when Don McLean's American Pie came on. I never realized what a long song it is. What's even more ridiculous is that I know all the lyrics to it. That's more ridiculous then when I realized that I knew the lyrics to the Highlander Theme song. I'm not sure how that happened. I'm pretty sure that the first time I watched Highlander the movie was within the past two years. I swear it happens through osmosis.

I think that I have found my next book to read. "What the Corpse Revealed: Murder and the Science of Forensic Detection" I will go hunting for it soon.
I'm on the phone with Nate and he's telling me about the latest Zelda game for the Gamecube. Apparently it's going to be orgasmically amazing. I'll put a link to it once I check it out.

I began blocking the kyoto sweater at long last. I did the back and it went well and I thought well I can fit both front pieces on and do them at the same time. I began pinning down the right side and I was measuring to make sure that it was pinned down to the correct proportions when I noticed that my piece didn't match with the back. To my dismay I realized that I had worked the front right shoulder as if I was working the front left shoulder! I grumbled and called myself dirty names and began to rip it past the point that I began to shape the shoulder. Now just to let you know in the past ripping anything caused shivers to go down my spine because I would always fumble and just have to start over. Well today I bit my lip and tried it. I, thankfully, was able to rip it to two rows below the beginning of the shoulder shaping and correct my mistake. In total it took about 15 mins and I didn't pull any hairs out. I'm so glad that went smoothly and now I can get back to blocking the rest of my garment.

JD and I took a much needed break from homework doing to go to Walmart. Yes Walmart that evil place. Well you know what. I can buy pins, fabric and foam like padding there so :P. I came home and five minutes later with the afore mentioned items constructed a "blocking board". It's not really a board per say but I can stick needles in it and it has a gingham pattern that was 1X1 squares. I can't complain it will suffice and I didn't spend $50 something dollars plus $20 something in shipping on it. We also had yummy yummy sushi at Minado. JD has deemed it his favorite restaurant.

I had my scheduling problem taken care of the same day it occurred. That's what's nice about being in a small department. The prof. get back to you sooner so things can get resolved faster. Woo Hoo. I'm missing the Wake Up the Earth festival that's happening at the Stony Brook park area. Sniff sniff. All for a good cause though. I have almost caught up with my physics HW and hopefully will start having my programming project underway before the night is out.
My latest project is a yoga mat bag. I want to start practicing again and I don't have anything that I can comfortably carry my mat in. Hopefully my stash of leftover Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece will suffice for the project. I bought some addi turbo US #7 16" circulars for the job. I like the addi's though I feel that I don't knit fast enough to fully appreciate them. They are smooth. The stitches slip off with ease and they sort of move along the needle of their own accord.
